- It is the time of year when rumors fly with ferocity and almost every word of every tweet must be parsed for context. The key word here is "intensified." It suggests that talks have ramped up or become more serious. It could, however, just as easily mean that the Rangers have checked in again after perhaps a period of relative silence while Desmond surveyed the market.
- I've been told the Rangers have essentially kicked the tires again recently.
