The San Francisco Giants have traded lefthanded relief pitcher Taylor Rogers to the Cincinnati Reds for minor league pitcher Braxton Roxby, per multiple reports. In addition, San Francisco is paying half of the $12 million that Rogers is owed for the 2025 season.
And in a Texas Rangers’ related note associated with this deal, the Reds designated Owen White for assignment to make room for Rogers on the 40 man roster. The Reds had purchased White from the Rangers earlier this month.
Rogers signed a 3 year, $31 million deal with the Giants prior to the 2023 season in a move that made him teammates with his twin brother Tyler Rogers.
