ARLINGTON -- Pitcher Yu Darvish was minding his own business at the end of a rare Rangers off day on Thursday when a tweet from Emily Jones caught his eye.
Actually, it was a re-tweet. Jones, who serves as the dugout reporter on Rangers television, was touched by a tweet she had read from Danny Balis, a producer at Sports Radio 1310 AM and 96.7 FM. It was about a pit bull in need of a home.
"This sweet girl goes to the pound tomorrow if she's not adopted," read Balis' tweet that featured a photo of the pit bull named Sage.
