Game 2 of the Texas Rangers and Toronto Blue Jays was a great game and a bit of an odd game, but that’s not unusual for those played on Oct. 9.

There have been nine postseason games of 14 innings or longer and three of them have been played on this date. There previously was Game 2 of the World Series between the Red Sox and Dodgers in 1916 (99 years ago) and Game 4 of the 2005 NLDS between the Astros and Braves.
