PHOENIX -- The Rangers' rebuilding program went to another level at this year's non-waiver Trade Deadline, as the club dealt closer Keone Kela to the Pirates late Monday night and lefty reliever Jake Diekman to the D-backs a day later.
The Kela deal, announced after Texas' 9-5 win over the D-backs, brought back Minor League left-hander Taylor Hearn and a player to be named. Hearn was the No. 7 prospect in the Pirates organization, according to MLB Pipeline. In exchange for Diekman, Texas acquired right-hander Wei-Chieh Huang, Arizona's No. 22 prospect.
