Choice was the 10th overall pick by the Athletics in the 2010 MLB Draft and made his big league debut in 2013. That winter, he was dealt to his hometown club as part of a four-player trade that sent outfielder Craig Gentry and pitcher Josh Lindblom to Oakland.
In 86 games with the Rangers last year, Choice batted .182 with just 16 extra-base hits. He didn't make Texas' Opening Day roster this spring and on June 24, struck out in his only Major League plate appearance this season.
Choice has played at every outfield position in the Majors, with the majority of his time (43 games) spent in left field.
