ARLINGTON -- Relievers Chris Martin and Alex Claudio were able to get out of a crucial bases-loaded jam in the sixth inning and the Rangers went on to a 5-1 victory over the Astros on Friday night at Globe Life Park.
Getting out of that jam allowed the Rangers to earn their first win of the season and snap a five-game losing streak against the Astros going back to last year.
Rangers starter Doug Fister went five innings to get the win against his former team, allowing one run on four hits, three walks and three strikeouts.
