Nick Martinez allowed an unearned run in five innings Friday, and Joey Gallo and Mike Napoli swatted home runs as the Texas Rangers extended their winning streak to 10 games with a 5-3 victory over the Detroit Tigers.
The 10-game streak is the fourth-longest in club history and the longest since the 2010 team won 11 in a row from June 12-24.
How Rangers hitters fared: The Rangers scored the game’s first three runs, the first two coming in the third thanks to some wild pitching by Daniel Norris.
