As the Rangers prepare to depart for spring training in Arizona, it's time to take a look at some key spring projects.
Spring training will have a different feel in 2019. Individual position battles for a rebuilding team with a new manager aren't nearly as important or intriguing as setting the foundation for the future. Most of the Rangers' projects under manager Chris Woodward will be process, philosophy and culturally-focused.
Here is perhaps the single-most significant player-specific project in camp:
