Rangers sign Milner, designate White for assignment

The Texas Rangers have officially announced the signing of Hoby Milner to a one year deal. To make room for Milner on the 40 man roster, the Rangers have designated pitcher Owen White for assignment.

Milner, who turns 34 next month, had a 4.73 ERA in 61 games over 64.2 innings last year for the Milwaukee Brewers, resulting in his getting non-tendered by the Brewers. In 2023, he had a 1.82 ERA in 64.1 IP, and had a 3.76 ERA in 64.2 in 2022. His FIP, for 2022 through 2024, was 3.16, 3.13, and 3.
