ANAHEIM, Calif. - The Rangers got a little Wisdom on Sunday.
With news that Ronald Guzman has a Grade 2 right hamstring strain and is expected to miss 3-4 weeks, the team placed him on the Injured List and recalled Patrick Wisdom from Triple-A Nashville. Wisdom, who arrived in Anaheim Sunday morning, is expected to split time with Logan Forsythe at first base for the foreseeable future.
There is no plan at present to have Joey Gallo play first base and call up Willie Calhoun. The Rangers discussed the possibility, but, unlike last season, they want to remain committed to a plan with Gallo.
