Joey Gallo started the scoring in the eighth with an RBI double that cut the Angels' lead to 6-5. Shin-Soo Choo drew a bases-loaded walk to tie the game, and the Rangers took a 7-6 lead on Rougned Odor's infield single, which was overturned by replay after Odor was initially called out at first.
The Rangers started the game in a five-run hole after a big first inning by the Angels.
