Rangers option lefty Faulkner to Triple-A

The Rangers optioned left-hander Andrew Faulkner to Triple-A Round Rock on Thursday, opening a spot for Shin-Soo Choo's return Friday.

Choo, who played in three rehab games, has been on the disabled list since early April with a strained right calf.

Faulkner posted a 7.94 ERA in eight relief appearances for the Rangers.
