SURPRISE, Ariz. -- There are no changes to version 4.0 of the roster projection.
This is exceptionally good news for the Rangers.
It means no starting pitchers have gone down with an injury, which is saying something given the injury history of this rotation. And nobody else with a shot to make the roster has gotten hurt, either. It means nobody with a significant role to play has so underperformed as to jeopardize their spot.
But, look, the opening day roster is all ceremony. It's about standing on the line and watching the flyover. What is most important about a roster, beyond talent, of course, is flexibility.
