The Milwaukee Brewers have claimed first baseman Andy Wilkins on waivers from the Texas Rangers
The Texas Rangers have lost on Andy Wilkins on waivers to the Milwaukee Brewers. Wilkins, a 27 year old lefthanded hitting first baseman, was claimed on waivers from the Seattle Mariners last week, and was apparently placed on waivers earlier this week. The Brewers claimed Wilkins yesterday, along with Padres catcher Josmil Pinto, who some had speculated the Rangers might be interested in, and Mets outfielder Kirk Nieuwenhuis.
Wilkins has now been claimed on waivers five times and purchased once since the end of spring training, 2015.
