ARLINGTON - In their postseason player evaluations, the Rangers will have a tough call on second baseman Rougned Odor.
Which Odor can they expect for next season?
Odor has been a peaks-and-valleys offensive player this season. He is at another low point as the Rangers open the final home series of the season on Friday against Seattle.
Odor is hitting .135 with two walks and 18 strikeouts in his last 54 plate appearances. The Rangers believe it is particularly important for Odor, after the streakiness of this season, to finish on an upswing.
“I believe that any time you can have a player finish the season in good shape with a lot of positivity, that’s a feel-good that goes into the offseason,’’ manager Jeff Banister said.
