KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- On Tuesday afternoon, Rangers manager Chris Woodward took a momentary break from answering probing questions about the struggles of his young hitters to answer one about the intriguing nature of a young pitcher.
The rookie manager said Ariel Jurado probably will get a chance to start this season after seven solid relief outings.
"I am intrigued by it," Woodward said. "If he can hold the stuff he's shown for 80 to 90 pitches, he's going to be OK. He's a different guy than we saw in spring. It's something we've probably got to take a look at at some point.
