The Texas Rangers’ 2017 turnaround tour continued Thursday afternoon at Globe Life Park.
The Rangers won their ninth consecutive game, the longest win streak in the majors this season and the club’s longest streak since winning 12 in a row July 4-19, 2011.
They finished their eight-game homestand undefeated, only the second such stretch in club history. They also went 8-0 against the Astros, Royals and White Sox in May 20-29, 2005.
That ’05 stretch included two teams that eventually met in the 2005 World Series (Astros and White Sox), although the Astros were 15-28 at the time.
