Rangers fall to Angels in soggy slugfest

ARLINGTON -- The Angels struck for five runs in the top of the seventh inning against Rangers reliever Eddie Butler and went on to an 11-7 victory in a game that ended well after midnight on Sunday morning at Globe Life Park.

The big blow in the inning was a three-run pinch-hit home run by Shohei Ohtani. Taylor Ward also hit his first Major League home run off Butler, who has allowed 11 runs in his last 11 innings.

The game was delayed two hours and 26 minutes by rain and the Angels jumped out to a 6-2 lead against Rangers starter Martin Perez.
