Rangers don’t pick, lose anyone in the Rule 5 Draft

The Texas Rangers did not lose anyone, or select anyone, in the major league portion of the Rule 5 Draft today.

Last year the Rangers lost Reed Garrett to the Detroit Tigers in the Rule 5 Draft, but he was returned to the Rangers during the season. Texas selected righthanded pitcher Chris Ellis in 2019, and then traded him to the Kansas City Royals after the draft, and acquired pitcher Jordan Romano, who was selected by the Chicago White Sox, in a trade that same day.
