The physical is not routine, but the Rangers were well-acquainted with his health issues entering the negotiations. Ross, 29, is coming off a serious right shoulder injury that required thoracic outlet syndrome surgery at the end of last season. There is still a chance he may not be ready for action by the start of the season.
