Rangers’ Darvish seeking better results after 7-3 loss

An awakening appears to have taken place Sunday on a hot, sleepy afternoon spread over 3 hours, 43 minutes of game time at Globe Life Park.

Yu Darvish doesn’t want to take it anymore.

He didn’t appear to be mad as hell after allowing five runs in five innings in a 7-3 loss to the Seattle Mariners, but instead seemed motivated in how he would navigate through the rest of the season.

The sluggish pace, the inconsistency that’s keeping him from being great and the lack of efficiency — all that bit him on Father’s Day — led him to make a bold, public proclamation after he could lead the Rangers to a three-game weekend sweep.
