DETROIT -- Bartolo Colon did not pass Dennis Martinez on Friday for the distinction of all-time winningest pitcher from Latin America.
Colon did move closer to Hall of Famer Bert Blyleven on another list: most career homers allowed.
Colon gave up two homers for all the runs in the Rangers' 3-1 loss to Detroit at Comerica Park. The homers were the only hard-hit balls against Colon, who allowed only five hits and no walks in eight innings.
"Never in my life have I been bothered by a home run,'' said Colon, speaking through an interpreter. "I am bothered most when I give up a walk.
