The Texas Rangers have claimed righthanded relief pitcher Shaun Anderson on waivers from the Minnesota Twins, the team announced today. To make room on the 40 man roster for Anderson, the Rangers have designated pitcher Tyson Miller for assignment.
Anderson, 26, was a 3rd round pick of the Boston Red Sox in 2016 out of the University of Florida. He was traded a year later to the San Francisco Giants in a deal that brought Eduardo Nunez to Boston. The Giants traded him to the Twins this spring for LeMonte Wade, Jr.
