ARLINGTON -- Rangers catcher Isiah Kiner-Falefa exited Thursday night's 4-3 win over Baltimore with a jammed right middle finger after diving back into first base on a pickoff play. Kiner-Falefa suffered the injury in the fifth inning, but left in the top of the eighth inning.
Jeff Mathis replaced Kiner-Falefa during the game, and Rangers manager Chris Woodward said the team would know more about Kiner-Falefa's condition on Friday.
"He had a hard time throwing," Woodward said. "He said he could hit fine, but it affected his throwing. You could tell, in between innings, he was having a hard time throwing it.
