SURPRISE, Ariz. - Rangers TV broadcaster C.J. Nitkowski is the latest public figure to find himself in a Twitter controversy.
Even though it has nothing to do with one of his own tweets.
Nitkowksi on Monday deleted his tweets and protected his account after being accused of a racist attitude for a liking, of all things, a tweeted photo of the gold-medal winning U.S. Olympic women's hockey team. It wasn't the photo that caused the controversy, but the account that sent the tweet. The account, @ProudBoysUSA, has been labeled an extremist group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.
