SURPRISE, Ariz. -- The Adrian Beltre Guessing Game opened Monday.
Beltre appeared in a game for the first time this spring, playing four innings at third base in the Rangers' 5-4 win against San Francisco. Beltre had a single and a double in two at-bats.
"I got lucky," Beltre said.
The bigger question will hang over the Rangers for a while. How much will they get from Beltre, their heart and soul player, for this season?
History says about 115 games at third with 20 homers and 70 RBIs is a realistic expectation. Father Time remains undefeated.
