The Texas Rangers activated 1B/OF Kyle Blanks from the 15-day disabled list Thursday. Blanks, who had been out since May 20 because of a pilonidal cyst near his tailbone, is playing first base and batting cleanup in Thursday afternoon's series finale in Oakland.
Blanks has batted .322 with three home runs and six RBI in 15 games for the Rangers this season.
