Rangers activate DeShields, Colon, call up Curtis

Texas Rangers transactions: Delino DeShields and Bartolo Colon were activated from the disabled list today, and Lefthanded pitcher Zac Curtis was promoted from AAA Round Rock. The additions of DeShields and Colon were expected, as today is the day rosters expand and anyone on the 40 man roster can be on the active major league roster. Meanwhile, after Matt Moore and Martin Perez both went multiple innings yesterday, the team announced Curtis would come up today to lengthen the bullpen.

Colon is resuming his place in the Ranger rotation, and one would expect that DeShields will get the bulk of the starts in center field the rest of the way, though Joey Gallo starting today in center suggests he may not be in the lineup as often as we would expect.
