ARLINGTON -- Dodgers right fielder Yasiel Puig tried to pad his club's lead by stealing home during the seventh inning of Wednesday's series finale against the Rangers, but left-handed reliever Alex Claudio made a strong throw to the plate to get him.
Puig reached with two outs in the seventh on a triple that bounced into the right-center-field gap. Puig went from home to third in 11.02 seconds, the second-fastest time for a Dodgers player since Statcast™ began tracking in 2015. The only faster time was Carl Crawford's 10.72 seconds on April 27, 2015.
