Profar to the Braves, per reports

The Altanta Braves have agreed to terms with free agent Jurickson Profar on a three year, $42 million deal, per multiple reports.

Profar is coming off of his best season, slashing .280/.380/.459 in 158 plate appearances while being the primary left fielder for the San Diego Padres. He has had an odd career arc, going from being one of the top prospects in baseball about 15 years ago to being sidelined due to injury for two years to struggling to carve out playing time post-injury for the Rangers.

After spending a year in Oakland, he was traded to the Padres, for whom he also had a breakout year in 2022.
