SEATTLE -- Carlos Peguero returned to Safeco Field on Friday, this time with the Rangers. Peguero said he was happy to be back, even though Safeco was tough for him during his time with the Mariners.
Peguero was a top power prospect for the Mariners but never hit well enough to stay in the Major Leagues. In parts of three seasons from 2011-13, he hit .195 with a .242 on-base percentage and a .380 slugging percentage in 65 games. At Safeco he hit .183 with a .358 slugging percentage.
"Sometimes everybody gets a little frazzled because the ball doesn't fly here," Peguero said.
