The Texas Rangers have traded Patrick Kivlehan, acquired last year from Seattle, back to Seattle
The Texas Rangers have traded outfielder Patrick Kivlehan to the Seattle Mariners for a player to be named later or cash, according to the team.
Kivlehan, 26, was acquired by the Rangers last winter from the Mariners as a player to be named later in the deal that sent Leonys Martin and Anthony Bass to Seattle, with James Jones and Tom Wilhelmsen also coming to the Rangers. Wilhelmsen is in the minors, Jones was non-tendered (though then re-signed), and Bass was released so he could play overseas, meaning that Leonys is the only part of that deal that has ended up working out for the acquiring team.
