ARLINGTON - Two conclusions can be drawn from the Rangers' season-opening series against reigning World Series champion Houston Astros.
- They are not in the Astros' class. With a decisive 8-2 win on Sunday at Globe Life Park, the Astros took the series with three victories.
"It's not the way we want to get started," manager Jeff Banister said. "The thing that you can't do is let a 1-3 start carry over to the next series."
- If the rotation does not increase its innings capacity, the Rangers will need a fleet of orthopedists on 24-hour call to heal spent relievers.
