I had a column written Wednesday night and about ready to send to the paper - we still print, after all - with two outs in the ninth inning. It was about how bad the start of the season has been for the Rangers and it cited all the bad plays from the game and the awful numbers for the season.
And then none of that mattered.
Elvis Andrus got hit on the right elbow when an errant fastball from Kenyan Middleton clipped him. We are still waiting for final words on the degree of the injury, but initial reports indicated he had suffered a fractured elbow.
