Texas Rangers pitcher Kumar Rocker is making his major league debut tonight against the Seattle Mariners.
I almost wrote “long awaited” debut, but I’m not sure that is the best way to describe it. On the one hand, Kumar Rocker has been around and on the radar a long time. I first wrote about him on here over six years ago, as part of the 2018 draft preview series, noting that he was generally ranked among the top dozen or so players available in the draft, but with signability issues potentially leading him to drop out of the first round.
