Offense Sputters as Texas Rangers Fall 5-2

The luck of the Irish was not with the Texas Rangers offense on this St. Patrick’s day evening, as the boys fall 5-2 to Milwaukee. The game began with Nick Tepesch struggling as the starter, getting through only 2 1/3 innings, and giving up all 5 of Milwaukee’s runs. The 5 run deficit proved too much for the Rangers’ offense, which managed only 4 hits on the evening.

The relief crew for the Texas Rangers fared far better than the starter, as they combined to pitch the last 6 2/3 innings in shutout fashion. Shawn Tolleson made his first big league appearance of the spring, pitching 1 inning and allowing 1 hit.
