No Fortnite, no problem? Rangers taking own approach to video game bans, clubhouse rules

SURPRISE, Ariz. - There will be no zombie apocalypse in the Rangers clubhouse.

A year ago, Fortnite, the team-based survivalist video game in which players work together to fight off zombie-like characters, swept through pro sports teams. Now, comes the residue.

Just this week, it was revealed that Cleveland DH Carlos Santana, then with Philadelphia, smashed a TV in the Phillies clubhouse at the end of last season after finding his teammates playing Fortnite during a late-season game. On Tuesday, new Toronto manager Charlie Montoyo said the Blue Jays will enact a pre-game curfew on video games to ensure it does not interfere with preparation.
