MLB Rumors: Joe Maddon and the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim are expected to announce that the former Chicago Cubs manager will be the new Angels manager once he interviews this week, according to Scott Miller on Twitter. The Angels fired their manager, Brad Ausmus, after the 2019 season after just one year in the role.
Maddon, who was at the helm when the Cubs broke their World Series drought in 2016, parted ways with the Cubs after a disappointing 2019 campaign, and promptly became one of the hot names in the managerial free agent market.
