An important offseason for Texas Rangers prospect Joey Gallo appears to already be off to a rough start.
Gallo strained his left hamstring during a game in the Venezuelan Winter League on Thursday night and could miss two weeks because of the injury, Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. Even more troubling, the 22-year-old might have to leave Venezuela and return to Arlington, Texas, for further evaluation, per the Rangers.
Gallo was 2-for-6 with a homer and five RBIs in the two games he played in Venezuela before suffering the injury.
