MLB Rumor Central: Rangers interested in Jim Johnson

In the race to shore up weaknesses for the regular season's final stretch, it appears the Texas Rangers are interested in adding a reliever at the trade deadline.

According to Joel Sherman of the New York Post, the Rangers are one of the teams looking to potentially acquire Atlanta Braves right-hander Jim Johnson.

In 39 appearances this season, the 33-year-old has 34 strikeouts and a 3.99 ERA.
