Matt Bush, the first overall pick of the 2004 draft whose career has been derailed by personal and legal problems, could pitch for the Texas Rangers sometime in 2016, reports Joel Sherman of the New York Post.
Bush’s career as a shortstop was a bust, and it got far worse when he was convicted for a drunk driving incident and served 39 months of a 51-month prison sentence.
Bush, now 30, was signed to a minor league deal and is seeking a new new lease in life as a pitcher for the Rangers.
