MLB Rumor Central: Is Josh Hamilton's time with Rangers over?

Texas Rangers slugger Josh Hamilton had reconstructive surgery of the ACL on Wednesday. Hamilton is definitely done for the season, and his third surgery in 10 months might mark the end of the 35-year-old's career with the Rangers.

Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram writes that while the Rangers announced back on May 23 that Hamilton would undergo season-ending surgery on his left knee, Dr. Walt Lowe, the Houston Texans' knee specialist who performed Hamilton's surgery, was not completely sure that an ACL repair would be necessary until he began the surgical procedure.
