The Texas Rangers Top 30 Prospect List from MLB Pipeline is out, and as one would expect, Leody Taveras and Willie Calhoun are the top two prospects on the list. The pair have been, I believe, atop every Rangers prospect ranking this offseason, with the only question being whether Willie’s potent bat and MLB-readiness outweighs Leody’s well-rounded skill set and higher ceiling. Hans Crouse, Cole Ragans and Bubba Thompson round out the top 5.
At the back part of the list, four catchers are ranked in the 20s, along with Isiah Kiner-Falefa and Josh Morgan, infielders who have also seen time behind the plate.
