The Texas Rangers Top 5 prospects included everyone expected with Joey Gallo, Lewis Brinson, Nomar Mazara, Dillion Tate, and Luis Ortiz all making an appearance. One surprise in the top 5 was Lewis Brinson coming in at number 2, one spot ahead of Nomar Mazara. The reasoning was that Brinson is a much better overall fielder and runner, albeit his hitting being slightly below Mazara’s. This could be a great thing, as Mazara has been mashing in Spring Training. So far, he’s 8-9 with a home run and 4 RBIs.
A surprise in the top 10 is Jairo Beras coming in at number 6.
