SAN DIEGO -- Mike Minor's quality start on Sunday quickly became overshadowed by some late-inning theatrics, as the Padres spoiled the Rangers' sweep and rallied for a 7-3 victory at Petco Park.
After Minor departed in the seventh inning, the Padres tagged several different Rangers relievers and began chipping away at Texas' 3-1 lead. C.D. Pelham came in to relieve Minor, and promptly gave up an RBI triple to Manuel Margot. The run was charged to Minor for his second earned run of the game. The Padres came close to tacking on another run in the eighth inning, when Eddie Butler walked back-to-back Padres to lead off the inning, but Alex Claudio was able to escape the damage.
