There were some promotions at the minor league levels. Mitch Bratt is now at Frisco. Izack Tiger goes from Down East to Hickory. Pablo Guerrero, Jose DeJesus and Yeremi Cabrera are at Down East now.
There were also some releases, the more notable including Jojo Blackmon and Michael Brewer (a pair of above-slot later round picks from several years ago), Michael Reed (outfielder-turned-pitcher), and Jayce Easley (2018 5th rounder, son of Damian Easley).
Paul Bonzagni started for Down East and went six innings, allowing one run, walking four and striking out ten.
Marcos Torres had a pair of home runs.
