Minor-league free-agent pitchers that could interest the Rangers, including familiar faces and an ALCS emergency starter

The Rangers will be active in the free-agent market.

The minor-league free-agent market.

It is the bargain bin of low-cost, off-season shopping. The players have at least six seasons of minor-league experience and are not on a 40-man major-league roster.

The Rangers have made one addition from this group, signing catcher Jett Bandy. He has 123 career major-league starts with Milwaukee and the Los Angeles Angels and will provide depth at Triple-A Nashville.

Pitchers are the main target for the Rangers. They have to sort through the chaff and find some value, as San Francisco did with right-hander Dereck Rodriguez.
