Anaheim Angels outfielder will miss the remainder of the 2024 season due to a torn meniscus in his left knee which will require surgery.

Trout has been out since late April due to undergoing surgery then to repair a torn meniscus. He started a rehab assignment in late July, but was pulled off due to discomfort in the knee. While an initial MRI showed no structural damage, a later MRI revealed a tear in a different part of his meniscus.

Though he is still relatively young — he turns 33 next week — Trout has been dogged with injuries the past four seasons.
