Mike Minor, Joey Gallo selected to represent Rangers in MLB All-Star Game

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - One was a one-trick pony, built for the Home Run Derby and nothing else. Another was a broken-down pitcher, relegated to the bullpen, but not the kind of guy you would put in a starting rotation. The third was past his prime and should have ridden off on the going-away scooter he was given and never looked back.

On Sunday, they all became members of the AL All-Star team.

When reserves and pitchers were announced Sunday afternoon for the July 9 game in Cleveland, Rangers Joey Gallo and Mike Minor joined already-announced starting DH Hunter Pence on the roster.
